hello I am liking the demo so far but don't understand something about the dictionary(speficaily the variable ones) is their an email or a different place I can contact you with?
At this time, we haven't implemented Click2Move functionality (on the current version), but this is a great idea!
A vastly updated version of the C3 NeroEngine is in development now, taking advantage of some of C3's new 3D functionality, so we can add this to the dev stream - it shouldn't be too much of stretch to include this.
The current plan is that the "New" version (once complete) would include new and significantly improved functions/features (incl mouse support), and Users would need to purchase/download the newest version to use each newly added/improved feature. The reason for this is because we will be building this 'from the ground, up' using all the newest approaches that C3 has to offer.
Regarding Purchases: While we haven't figured out (or even discussed) the logistics yet, if possible we will offer the "New" version at a largely-discounted price to anyone who had purchased in the past.
It's also possible that depending on the complexity of adding Mouse Support, it could be backward-compatible, in which case it could be released as a free update to the earlier version of NeroEngine - at no additional cost. This would only be possible if the existing engine code requires no further changes/revisions, as we can't spare the time to backtrack and make large-scale edits to the current NeroEngine.
*Please Note: It's still early in our design/dev process and we are a small team, so unfortunately we can't confirm ANY features until they have had some time in development and test!
These are all great questions! Please let us know if there is anything else you need.
I will await the new version of the engine with mouse support and if you can also please add regular tiles not just isometric. I have to make a certain clone of a pop-culture RPG and need mouse support and regular square tiles for this engine to match my needs. Cheers!
Hello! While we don't have as much time as we used to for active development - we're still available to answer questions and help support for any issues you might right into! One of the items we're taking a look at is cleaning and tightening the code for a 'final' C2 version and shifting focus to C3 only. Please let us know if you have any questions and we'll do our best to help.
Do you plan to finish the construct 2 version? I bought this hoping to use it with construct 2 and there's a lot of stuff I was excited for missing :( I do not want to use c3 because the license system gives me anxiety and makes me feel pressured so I rather stick to c2. Please let me know if you'd be able to work on the c2 version some more I would love to use your template but I'm a little bit disappointed honestly.
We originally released the [Nero Engine] for C3 due to there being a little 'more' that C3 allowed us to do. This involved parsing down and rewriting a LOT of what we were trying to do to get it into C2 at all - honestly the only reason we did a C2 build was that at the time Scirra required any Game Templates to include a C2 version.
*Keep in mind that Construct2 is now considered by Scirra to be at end-of-life - there will not be any more updates/support as of July 1st. *We would personally, HIGHLY recommend Construct3 - the updates they're offering are night and day compared to C2, and it is ultimately worth it - don't let the 'yearly subscription' model throw you off, it's very worth what amounts to $8 per month (and you can cancel if you don't want to continue - there is NO pressure to continue, and we have even seen them refund charges if you're not happy). *Some C2 license holders were granted a free 1st year of C3, linked to your original purchase account - be sure to check if that's available and reach out to Scirra if you need more info.
------------------
We DO intend to make some sweeping updates when/where possible, but due to time constraints and current projects we're not there yet - the time it will take will be many hours!
That said, we definitely understand if you're running into difficulty with the C2 build - we probably had the same issues ourselves. If you'd like to reach out at nhp.main@gmail.com and give some specifics, let's see if we can't get around some of the issues quickly!
The dialogue system and the ability to interact with things like the chest and stuff would be nice. There's no rush I appreciate the reply even as well but is there an ETA of when I can expect more functionality out of the construct 2 version?

Is there a mouse to move and interact control scheme included?

Is the next version part of this engine with mouse support or a new standalone engine that needs to be purchased with mouse support?
If I understand your question correctly -

Are you still supporting this? Would love to buy it and know if I have questions, you can answer!
